Fully double enormous yellow flowers. Petals slightly ruffled.
One the largest double yellow Itoh hybrids. Unusual and rare peony.
First year bloomed, 2004. First year propagated, 2004. Fully DOUBLE yellow flowers, petals fading to creamy white along outer edges, one bloom per stem, 5½ inches diameter. Pink flares, but these are not a prominent feature due to fullness of the flower. Petals slightly ruffled. Carpels 4 to 6, smooth, light green, topped with pink, normal shaped stigmas. Sheath yellow. No stamens, no fertility noted. Leaflets typical, resembling tree peony parent. Height to 28 inches with spreading habit but not needing mechanical support.
